Cheezy Ham and Rice
1/2 c Green peppers; diced
1/2 c Cup celery; diced
1/2 c Onion; diced
2 tb Butter
2 tb Flour
2 c Evaporated milk
1 1/2 c Grated sharp Cheddar cheese
2 c Cooked ham cut into julienne
1 ts Dry mustard
1 ts Garlic salt
1/4 ts Red pepper
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
3 c Cooked rice
Saut? green pepper, celery and onion in butter over low heat until tender.
Blend in flour. Add milk and cook until sauce is thick and smooth, stirring
constantly. Add cheese and heat until melted, stirring constantly again.
Add ham, mustard, salt, Worcestershire and red pepper. Spoon over cooked
NOTES : Splendid for a buffet. Serve in a chafing dish.
