Crab with Curried Almond Rice

Title: Crab with Curried Almond Rice
Yield: 6 Servings

Ingredients:

6 tb Butter
2 md Tomatoes, peeled and chopd
1 Clove garlic, chopped
4 dr Tabasco sauce, (or more to
-taste)
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/2 ts Paprika
6 tb Flour
3 c Milk
2 cn Or frozen pkgs. crab meat or
-imitation crab
1 c Blanched almonds
1 ts Curry powder
3 c Hot cooked rice


Melt 6 T. margarine in saucepan. Add tomatoes, garlic, Worcestershire
sauce, Tabasco and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add flour
and stir until well blended. Add milk and simmer until thick, stirring
constantly. Add crabmeat. Simmer for 10 mins. Meanwhile melt 2 T. butter in
another saucepan. Add almonds and curry powder. Saute. Stir and toss with
rice. Serve sauce and crab over rice. MC formatting and posted by
